The Senior Analytics Engineering Developer transforms raw data into analytics‑ready datasets, leading the design and development of scalable data models within the silver layer of the medallion architecture. This role ensures data quality, consistency, and performance while guiding best practices in analytics engineering and BI modeling. The position partners with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data solutions and provides technical leadership across analytics engineering capabilities. This is a Full Time, hybrid, Senior Analytics Engineering Developer role located in Brentwood, TN. What You'll Do Designs, builds, and optimizes scalable data models following established standards Develops advanced SQL and dbt models, tests, and transformations Leads BI modeling and semantic layer development Applies and promotes best programming practices, including efficient and well-documented code Develops and maintains comprehensive documentation and model READMEs with clear assumptions and logic Leads data quality validation, testing, and issue resolution processes Maintains and improves data lineage, cataloging, and metadata standards Partners with stakeholders to define requirements and map metrics to business questions Provides guidance and mentorship to team members and reviews work for quality and consistency Leads collaboration with data engineering and governance teams to ensure reliable data delivery Uses version control systems (Git) to support structured and collaborative development What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or related field required 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, BI, or data modeling Experience designing and building data models using SQL and dbt Experience with version control systems (Git) Experience leading or mentoring team members Healthcare data experience preferred Strong proficiency in SQL and dbt Strong understanding of BI modeling, semantic layers, and analytics engineering practices Experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake) Strong understanding of data quality, validation, and governance concepts Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Work-life balance is at the foundation of how decisions are made and where Premise is headed.
