  • 10+ years of experience Role Overview We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer / Data Scientist with strong expertise in Azure Databricks and Python to build and implement sales forecasting models for CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) clients.
This role involves working with customer sales history data to develop daily and weekly product/store-level forecasting models. The work focuses on standard, scalable machine learning approaches rather than highly complex modeling. Key Responsibilities
  • Build and deploy sales forecasting models using Azure Databricks
  • Analyze historical sales data to generate actionable insights
  • Develop daily and weekly forecasts at product and store level
  • Execute Proof of Concepts (POCs) for forecasting use cases
  • Work with CPG datasets (different from retail models)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for data integration and delivery
  • Ensure model performance, accuracy, and scalability Required Skills
  • Strong experience with Azure Databricks
  • Proficiency in Python for data science and ML
  • Experience in time-series forecasting models (ARIMA, regression, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with data processing and analytics
  • Understanding of CPG domain (preferred, not mandatory)
  • Ability to build standard/vanilla ML models efficiently
