Data Engineer#26-05869 Charlotte, NC Plano, TX Hybrid Contract Starts 7/06/2026 Ends 7/05/2027 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves analyzing, designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting applications that integrate with existing businessponents. The selected candidate will support new and existing project requirements on Teradata data-warehouse and Big Data analytical platforms, coordinating with business teams to understand requirements and implement change requests.

Responsibilities:

Analyze, design, develop, enhance and support applications that integrate with existing businessponents utilizing established processes, frameworks, and technologies Develop and support existing and new project requirements, including coordinating with business to understand requirements and analyzing potential impact of implementing change requests Perform tasks toprehensively analyze application and process issues, including problem identification,munication and coordination with customer-facing support teams Regularlymunicate work progress with management, identifying issues early and resolving them quickly to avoid or minimize impact to projects

Requirements:

Computer Science/Software Engineering (or related) degree 4+ years experience with end-to-end application development on Teradata data-warehouse and analytical platforms 2+ years experience with end-to-end application development on Big Data Technologies - Hadoop Hive, PySpark Extensive experience developingplex Teradata SQL-based ETL and analytic workflows using native utilities (bteq, tpt, fastexport) Very good knowledge of Unix/Linux shell Scripting and scheduling (like Autosys) Experience working with Big Data Technologies, programs and toolsets like Hadoop, Hive, Sqoop, Impala, Kafka, and Python/Spark/PySpark workloads Working knowledge of CI/CD based development and deployment - JIRA, BitBucket Excellent written,munication and diagramming skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Speaking/presentation skills in a professional setting Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player to work with Global teams and business partners Positive attitude and flexible Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changes Desired skills: Industry certifications like Teradata, Hadoop, Big Data Experience conducting discussions with business owners to streamline requirements, performing requirements analysis, design and development, preparing Unit test plan and test execution, performing code reviews, build management, coordination with offshore team, release documentation and coordination, application support and maintenance Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
