Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst for a contract/temporary opportunity in Baldwin Park, CA, supporting business data research and customer classification efforts within the energy and utilities industry. As a Data Analyst, you will review customer business records, conduct online research, assign accurate NAICS codes, and help maintain high-quality business data. Key Responsibilities

• Review business customer records and conduct online research to determine accurate business classifications.
• Assign and document appropriate NAICS codes based on research findings and available information.
• Enter, update, and maintain accurate data in company systems, spreadsheets, and large datasets.
• Analyze incomplete, unclear, or conflicting information and make informed classification decisions.
• Follow established documentation, review, and quality-control processes to ensure data accuracy.
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies while maintaining productivity and attention to detail. Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $52,000 to $62,400 per year. Required Qualifications and Skills
• Research customer business records and determine accurate business classifications.
• Assign NAICS codes and document classification decisions.
• Maintain accurate data in spreadsheets, systems, and large datasets.
• Investigate and resolve incomplete or inconsistent customer data.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, a technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5-7 years of professional experience in data research, data analysis, data quality, customer data, or a related field.
• Strong online research skills with the ability to evaluate business information from multiple sources.
• Proficiency with Excel and experience working with large datasets.
• Accurate and efficient data entry skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze discrepancies, follow structured processes, and maintain documentation standards.
• Strong independent work habits, sound judgment, and a commitment to data accuracy. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with SAP.
• Familiarity with NAICS codes.
• Experience working with utility, customer, or large-scale data repositories.
• Background in data quality, data validation, business research, or similar analytical work.
