Job Description An Insight Global technology client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Data Analyst to support data preparation, transformation, and analysis efforts. This role will focus heavily on ensuring high-quality, analysis-ready datasets by performing data cleaning, restructuring, and optimization activities. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in SQL and has a solid understanding of data architecture principles. Key Responsibilities
- Perform data cleaning and validation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across datasets
- Execute data transformation and transposing tasks to prepare data for reporting and analytics use cases
- Design and implement data preparation workflows, including normalization, aggregation, and enrichment
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis
- Identify and resolve data quality issues, inconsistencies, and anomalies
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate requirements into structured datasets
- Support the development of scalable and reusable data pipelines and processes
- Ensure proper data formatting and structure aligned with reporting and downstream consumption needs Document data processes, transformations, and logic for transparency and maintainability
Compensation:
$10/hr to $20/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. - 4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role
- Strong proficiency in SQL
- advanced querying, joins, CTEs, window functions, performance optimization
- Hands-on experience with data cleaning, transformation, and reshaping (including transposing datasets)
- Familiarity with data architecture concepts (data models, schemas, ETL processes, data pipelines)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Experience working with large, complex datasets
