This individual ensures the accuracy and reliability of our data, drives the swift resolution of system bugs, and provides crucial ad hoc analysis. The ideal candidate is a master of Tesla's internal systems, an expert in data manipulation, and possesses a deep understanding of data logic to identify and rectify failures. This position can sit in Palo Alto, CA; Fremont, CA or Austin, TX. What You'll Do Serve as liaison with reporting teams to ensure the accuracy of data, expedite bug fixes, and proactively monitoring system performance to escalate system failure points before operations is impacted Validate data integrity by cross-referencing reports against source systems, identifying discrepancies, and diagnosing failures in underlying logic Perform ad hoc data analysis by writing SQL queries, developing Python scripts, and utilizing advanced Excel functions to extract and interpret information for business stakeholders Create effective presentations and data visualizations to drive business decisions, while aligning with Tesla design standards Translate business needs into technical requirements for the reporting and development teams to drive system enhancements Document data sources, logic, and processes to create a reliable knowledge base for the team Support operational teams by providing data-driven insights on a requested basis and clarifying the functionality of Tesla's internal systems What You'll Bring Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Demonstrated mastery of Tesla's internal service, collision, and reporting systems Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and data modeling; familiarity with Python machine learning framework Strong proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries to pull and manipulate data from various databases Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to understand and troubleshoot complex data logic Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences and collaborating effectively across teams A high degree of initiative and the ability to work independently on complex analytical tasks Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Expected Compensation $72,000 - $132,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
