Data & Planning Analyst

Role Overview

The Reverse Supply Chain Solutions (RSCS) team in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a fast-learning, innately curious Data & Planning Analyst to own and evolve our data architecture, reporting dashboards, and planning decision tools.

In this role, you will be the core data partner for our supply chain planning team. You will directly support planners across loaner, repair component, refurb, and OEM programs by pulling, compiling, and transforming data across multiple enterprise databases (e.g., Snowflake, MySQL, SAP) into intuitive, actionable Tableau dashboards and streamlined planning tools. Key Responsibilities

    Planner Dashboard Development & Enhancement:

Design, build, and continuously refine interactive Tableau dashboards tailored to planners' daily workflows (monitoring supply/demand, inventory health, fill rates, build schedules, and variance tracking).

      Multi-Database Ingestion & Transformation:

Query, aggregate, and blend complex datasets from diverse source databases—including Snowflake, MySQL, and

      SAP ECC/S4

—into clean, unified, and highly optimized data sources for planning analytics.

        Database Management & Data Hygiene:

Maintain dataset integrity, optimize query performance, manage schema updates, and ensure data feeds and extract refreshes remain reliable and accurate for daily planning decisions.

          Planning Workflow Streamlining:

Partner closely with planning team members to identify manual data bottlenecks, building automated scripts and tools (via SQL, Python, or macros) to simplify variance analysis, forecast tracking, and reporting.

Supply Chain & SAP Transaction Analytics:

Apply understanding of high-tech supply chain logic (orders, inventory movements, material management, and refurbishment/repair flows) to troubleshoot data discrepancies and build reliable tracking models. Key Qualifications

            Technical Skills

            • Tableau (Required): Advanced expertise in Tableau Desktop/Server—building interactive dashboards, complex calculations, data blending from multiple database sources, performance tuning, and schedule management.
            • Database Management & SQL (Required): Strong SQL fluency with hands-on experience querying, aggregating, and modeling data across multiple database platforms (e.g., Snowflake, MySQL, Teradata).
            • Python / Scripting (Preferred / Good to Have): Familiarity with Python (Pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy) or scripting for data manipulation, ETL/automation, and workflow efficiency.
              Industry & Domain Knowledge
            Supply Chain & Planning Operations:

Solid grasp of supply/demand planning principles, inventory transactions, reverse logistics, and material management in the high-technology electronics industry.

              SAP ECC / S4 HANA
              Familiarity:

Working knowledge of SAP order management structures, inventory transaction codes, and material master data. Soft Skills & Mindset

Fast Learner & Curious Problem Solver:

High curiosity and ability to quickly understand complex supply chain workflows, explore underlying databases independently, and learn new tools/frameworks rapidly.

                  Planner-Centric Collaboration:

Excellent communication skills with a user-focused mindset to translate planner requirements into easy-to-use visual tools.

                    Proactive Ownership:

Driven to take initiative, spot data/process bottlenecks, and independently propose and execute data-driven solutions for the planning team. Education & Experience

                    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
                    • 3+ years of hands-on experience building BI dashboards, managing databases, and analyzing supply chain data in a tech or manufacturing setting.
