This role will act as a key resource to Finance and Operations by delivering clear, accurate, and actionable reporting , improving visibility into business performance, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. This is a hands-on analytical role with a strong emphasis on reporting, data interpretation, and business partnership , rather than heavy data engineering or architecture. Key Responsibilities Operational Reporting Develop and maintain recurring reports and dashboards for: Job-level profitability (standard vs. actual costing) Production performance (throughput, scrap, efficiency) Labor analytics (productivity, overtime, staffing levels) Financial performance (monthly results, variance analysis, trend reporting) Support monthly close and management reporting with timely, accurate data outputs. Variance & Cost Analysis Analyze key drivers of financial performance, including: Material usage and yield variances Labor efficiency and rate variances Overhead absorption and production volume impacts Provide clear explanations of results to Finance and Operations leadership. Data Aggregation & Validation Extract and consolidate data from ERP, production systems, and other sources. Perform data validation and reconciliations to ensure alignment with financial statements and cost accounting outputs. Identify and resolve data inconsistencies. Ad Hoc Analysis & Decision Support Respond to business questions with targeted analysis (e.g., job profitability issues, staffing optimization, cost drivers). Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for management. Dashboard Development & Maintenance Build and maintain dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Excel-based solutions). Ensure reports are user-friendly, accurate, and aligned with business needs. Support incremental improvements in reporting automation and efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with:
Finance/Accounting (costing, close, forecasting) Operations/Plant leadership (production performance insights) HR (labor and staffing data) Help ensure consistent definitions and understanding of key performance metrics.
Qualifications Required:
3-7 years of experience in data analysis, financial analysis, or business intelligence reporting. Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation). Proven experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or similar. Experience working with ERP or accounting/production data. Solid understanding of financial concepts (P&L, variances, costing basics). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Pay:
$95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
