PRISM Inc., is seeking a Senior Data Analyst, to lead advanced business intelligence initiatives, partnering with executive leadership to deliver analytical solutions that drive strategic growth. You will design scalable reporting frameworks and develop enterprise-grade dashboards using SQL Server and Power BI. Serving as a subject matter expert and mentor, you will bridge the gap between complex data and actionable insights while promoting data governance, automation, and analytical excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
Enterprise BI & Reporting:
Lead the development of executive dashboards and operational reports using Power BI; design scalable semantic models (Star Schema) and automate reporting cycles for accuracy and performance.
Advanced Data Analysis:
Utilize T-SQL and Python (Pandas/NumPy) to identify trends and anomalies within large datasets, translating complex business questions into actionable strategic insights.
Modeling & Query Optimization:
Write and optimize advanced T-SQL queries and stored procedures; collaborate with Data Engineering to tune report performance and refine data product design.
Automation & Excellence:
Replace manual Excel processes with scalable BI solutions and implement robust data validation to ensure trust in enterprise reporting.
Strategic Partnership:
Serve as an analytical advisor to executives, translating high-level business requirements into technical deliverables and presenting findings to diverse audiences.
Mentorship & Governance:
Mentor junior analysts in SQL and visualization best practices while driving consistent KPI definitions and data dictionary standards across the organization.
Project Leadership:
Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, contributing to project planning, task tracking, and the modernization of the analytics roadmap.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
(SKILLS/EDUCATION): Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Data Analytics, supported by 6+ years of progressive experience in business intelligence or data analysis. Prior experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance industry. Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization) and Power BI (DAX, dimensional modeling, and Star Schema) is required. Proficiency in Python for data analysis (Pandas, NumPy) is essential, alongside experience with ticketing systems for project tracking. Familiarity with Azure-based data environments, modern data platforms, and machine learning concepts.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of Scikit-learn for predictive modeling and advanced data governance practices is a significant plus. PRISM is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
