Job Description
About This Role Part-time Independent Contractor to be responsible for providing strategic data collection, analysis, and reporting to strengthen Maui County's early childhood system. This one-year contract (with possible extension) develops reports, and recommendations supporting planning, funding, and policy. Must reside in Hawaii What You'll Do Essential Duties Collect, validate, and analyze early childhood data from multiple public sources. Analyze ECE enrollment geographically throughout Maui County. Analyze child care tuition by geographic area and provider type. Evaluate Public Pre-K capacity, enrollment, and utilization. Track workforce shortages including ECE teachers, pediatricians, therapists, Early Intervention providers, and related professionals. Compile annual TANF and WIC participation for Maui County. Analyze incoming ECE workforce pipeline. Develop 5-7 years of historical trend data on child care availability, capacity, enrollment, tuition, subsidies, and utilization. Develop dashboards, executive reports, maps, and/or annual report. Support grant writing and strategic planning through data analysis. Present findings to leadership and community partners. Maintain confidentiality and data integrity. Perform other duties as assigned. Other Duties Request for data requests. Support program evaluation. Participate in community meetings. Working Conditions Remote contract position with periodic meetings in Maui County. Work Hours Project-based schedule (approximately 20-30 hours per week).
