Join Casey's Merchandising Analytics team as a Space Planning Data Analyst! As a Space Planning Data Analyst, you'll partner closely with Space Planning leaders, business partners, cross‑functional teams, and the Data & Analytics Center of Excellence (COE) to collaboratively deliver meaningful space insights and analysis. You'll be responsible for standing up and scaling the space analytics practice, while effectively translating analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels of the organization. In this role, you'll serve as a key connector between space planning strategy, data, and decision-making, while leveraging descriptive and diagnostic analytics, data storytelling, and self-service BI to drive a data-informed space planning and optimization culture. Key Responsibilities Partner closely with Space Planning leadership, business partners, and the D&A COE to understand business objectives and translate them into effective analytical solutions that support both strategic and operational decision-making. Design, build, and maintain Relex and Power BI dashboards and datasets using space data to support macro and micro space planning decisions. Perform descriptive and diagnostic analyses to evaluate space productivity, planogram performance, assortment efficiency, and space optimization opportunities. Establish and maintain standardized space KPIs and metrics to ensure consistent measurement and interpretation across the organization. Translate complex data into clear narratives to present analytical findings to stakeholders at all levels, from space planners to senior leadership. Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, automate recurring analyses, and expand self-service analytics capabilities. Partner with the D&A COE to align space analytics with enterprise standards, best practices, and governance frameworks. Compensation:
Starting pay range:‏‏‎$73,000‏‏‎ ‎-‏‏‎ ‎$95,900.‏‏‎ Actual pay may vary based on Casey's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance. Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required. Experience with Relex or space planning capabilities preferred. Experience with Business Intelligence platforms and SQL. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively and build strong professional relationships across teams. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, perform insightful analysis, and present findings to influence decision-making at all levels. Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, initiatives, and tasks required. Sound judgment, planning, and prioritization skills, especially in Test & Learn fast-paced, dynamic environments.
