Job Description

Description We are seeking an Enterprise Data & Analytics Intern to join our team this summer! This internship provides hands-on experience supporting data, analytics, reporting, and technology initiatives within a regulated banking environment. The intern will work alongside technology and business professionals to gain practical experience with enterprise data, business intelligence, reporting, process improvement, and modern cloud-based technology platforms. This position is designed for students who enjoy solving problems, analyzing information, and using technology to help organizations make better decisions. No prior banking experience is required. We are looking for a curious, motivated student who wants to learn how data can be turned into meaningful business insight.
What You Will Do:
Assist with data and analytics initiatives that support business decision making. Meet with business partners to understand reporting needs, current processes, and the decisions supported by their information. Help document key reports, data definitions, source systems, business owners, and known data quality concerns. Support data validation, testing, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities. Create or enhance reports and dashboards using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or other approved tools. Help translate business questions into clear measures, visualizations, and reporting requirements. Gain exposure to enterprise data models, semantic models, cloud analytics platforms, and responsible use of artificial intelligence. Assist with process improvement opportunities involving manual reporting, spreadsheet consolidation, or repeatable analysis. Prepare user documentation and help business partners understand how to use delivered reports. Learn how data is secured, governed, and used within a regulated banking environment. Participate in professional development, educational, mentoring, and networking opportunities. Complete and present a capstone project summarizing the business problem, approach, results, lessons learned and recommended next steps.
Requirements What You Have:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in information systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Junior-level coursework is preferred. A minimum GPA of 2.8 or higher. Relevant coursework, projects, internships, leadership experience, tutoring, or student organization involvement is helpful.

Analyzing a problem, asking thoughtful questions, and organizing information. Explaining ideas clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences. Learning new technologies, systems, and business concepts. Working carefully with details while keeping the broader business purpose in mind. Collaborating with others and incorporating feedback. Taking ownership of assignments and following through on commitments. Maintaining confidentiality and following security and data-handling requirements. Helpful, but Not Required Experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, databases, statistics, or data visualization. Coursework involving reporting, analytics, business intelligence, data modeling, or research. Experience presenting findings from a class, team, or independent project.
