Data Analyst (Contract)
Location:
Chicago, IL- Hybrid Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst for a contract engagement based in Chicago. This role will focus on building, optimizing, and maintaining data pipelines and supporting analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with modern data tools and cloud platforms, and can efficiently handle large-scale data processing and reporting needs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Technical Requirements:
Python /
PySpark:
Hands-on experience using Databricks or Jupyter Notebooks for data processing and analysis
SQL:
Strong proficiency in data manipulation, querying, and retrieval AWS (S3): Experience consuming and managing data in S3 environments
Snowflake:
Practical experience with cloud-based data warehousing
Linux/Unix:
Working knowledge of shell scripting for automation and navigation
Dashboarding Tools:
Experience with at least one visualization/reporting tool such as
Tableau, Power BI, or QuickSight Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision making Create and maintain dashboards and reports for stakeholders Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance optimization Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): Experience working in agile environments Familiarity with data governance and security best practices
