Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Junior Data Analyst and become a vital driver of data-driven decision-making! In this energetic role, you will support the collection, analysis, and visualization of complex data sets to help shape strategic initiatives across various departments. You will work closely with senior analysts and project managers to turn raw data into actionable insights, ensuring our organization stays ahead in a competitive landscape. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your technical skills while contributing to impactful business outcomes. Duties Assist in designing and maintaining databases using tools like Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and Talend to ensure data integrity and accessibility. Develop and update dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other visualization tools to communicate key findings clearly. Support data extraction, transformation (ETL), and loading processes to streamline data workflows across platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile methodologies to deliver projects on time and within scope. Conduct business analysis by interpreting data trends, identifying anomalies, and providing insights that inform strategic decisions. Contribute to the development of database design specifications and documentation using Visio or similar tools. Assist in monitoring the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for ongoing projects, ensuring quality standards are met. Experience Demonstrated proficiency in SQL programming and database management with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle. Hands-on experience with data analysis tools such as R, Python, VBA, or Bash (Unix shell). Familiarity with visualization platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker for creating compelling reports. Knowledge of ETL processes using Talend or similar tools to facilitate data integration tasks. Strong understanding of business analysis principles combined with excellent analysis skills. Exposure to project management practices within an Agile environment is a plus. Basic understanding of database design concepts and linked data principles is desirable.
