Job SummaryThe Senior Associate Data Science Analyst develops and deploys data-driven models and analytical solutions to support forecasting and business decision-making. This role works with cross-functional teams to apply statistics, time series methods, and machine learning to large datasets and improve planning through production-ready analytics.

The role requires hands-on experience in statistical analysis, forecasting, machine learning, SQL, Python, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).ResponsibilitiesStatistical Modeling & ForecastingBuild and evaluate statistical and probabilistic forecasting models for demand, capacity, and trend analysisApply time series methods including regression-based models, ARIMA/SARIMA, and related forecasting techniquesInterpret forecast uncertainty and apply agreed evaluation methods for forecasting use casesMachine Learning & Predictive ModelingBuild and evaluate machine learning models for forecasting and prediction, including regression, tree-based models, gradient boosting, and neural networksApply statistical and ML approaches based on modeling requirements and established standardsDevelop features and run experiments to improve model performance MLOps & Model OperationsExecute the model lifecycle, including development, back testing, deployment, monitoring, and updatesTrack model performance, data drift, and model health metricsEnsure models are documented, reproducible, and ready for production useData Engineering & ModelingPerform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and hypothesis testing to support forecasting and modelingWork with large datasets and cloud-based data processing tools to support analytical workflowsPartner with data engineering teams to ensure data quality, availability, and consistencyVisualization & InsightsCreate visualizations to communicate trends, forecasts, and model outputsTranslate analytical results into clear insights for business and operational stakeholdersCollaboration & Stakeholder EngagementWork closely with data scientists, engineers, and business teams on forecasting and analytics use casesCommunicate methods, assumptions, and results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholdersQualifications3-5 years of experience in data analysis, data science, or a related analytical roleStrong foundation in statistics and experience applying statistical methods to real datasetsExperience with time series analysis and forecastingWorking knowledge of machine learning models such as regression, boosting, and neural networksExperience working with large datasets and using SQL and Python for analytical and modeling workflowsProficiency in Python and common DS/ML libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, statsmodels)Familiarity with model deployment, monitoring, and MLOps workflowsExperience working on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative fieldEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
