Never considered the insurance industry before? We think you should. This is a hybrid, year-round internship in Fort Wayne, IN. The ideal candidate would begin working part-time hours beginning in August. In this role, you will… Prepare weekly claim activity reports and send out high level management metrics Maintain the Defense Panel list. Prepare semi-annual updates of the Defense Panel Scorecard. Prepare the monthly Claims optimization presentation. Work directly with Divisional Claim managers to ensure optimization of operational metrics. Assist in preparation of monthly International Claims files and presentations. Select claims and prepare forms for quarterly claims audits Validate monthly vendor reports and load into claim management system. Correspond with vendors. Assist with ad hoc claim audits and data requests Take on other projects as assigned. Participate in company and community activities. We are looking for candidates with… Active enrollment in a Finance, Accounting or Actuarial Science Bachelor's degree program. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. Insurance knowledge (helpful but not required). Ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently. Strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Year-round availability to work in the Fort Wayne office 15-20 hours/week during the school year and 40 hours during the summer.
