Job Description

Position Summary Our client is seeking an organized and collaborative Assistant Manager of Data Analytics to support the Manager of Data Analytics and help coordinate the organization's reporting and data-related initiatives. This position will serve as a key point of coordination for incoming data requests, reporting priorities, and time-sensitive projects. The Assistant Manager will help organize the team's workload, respond to urgent data and reporting needs, communicate with internal stakeholders, and ensure requests are completed accurately and on schedule. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organization, coordination, and Excel skills. Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, databases, or data warehouses is helpful but not required. Please note that this role reports to their office in Northampton MA five days per week. Position Responsibilities Support the Manager of Data Analytics with the coordination and execution of reporting, analytics, and data-related initiatives. Help manage and prioritize incoming data requests, including urgent or time-sensitive reporting needs. Serve as a liaison between the analytics team and internal departments to clarify requests, establish expectations, and communicate progress. Coordinate assignments, deadlines, follow-up items, and deliverables across multiple projects and stakeholders. Assist with preparing recurring and ad hoc reports using Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools. Review data and reports for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before distribution. Collect, organize, and analyze information to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Help develop and maintain reporting processes, documentation, tracking tools, and standard operating procedures. Assist management with developing reports, dashboards, and performance metrics that support organizational decision-making. Help identify obstacles, competing priorities, or resource concerns and escalate issues when necessary. Support the continued improvement of the organization's reporting systems, data warehouse, dashboards, and data collection processes. Provide guidance and day-to-day support to team members while helping maintain an organized and responsive analytics function. Qualifications Prior experience in data analytics, reporting, project coordination, business operations, or a related field. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience organizing, analyzing, and presenting data. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests, deadlines, and shifting priorities. Ability to remain calm, responsive, and solutions-oriented when handling urgent data requests or reporting deadlines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work. Ability to identify project obstacles, follow up on outstanding items, and escalate concerns appropriately. Experience providing team leadership, project leadership, or informal mentorship is preferred. Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, databases, dashboards, or data warehouses is a plus but not required. #IND123
