Scientific Data Analyst SME IV Location:
Psychological Health Center of Excellence (PHCoE)
Work Environment:
Hybrid / Telework Eligible (Routine and situational telework is authorized. Facility space restrictions may necessitate part-time or full-time telework.)

TIER 2: Non-critical sensitive position (Must be able to obtain and maintain)

Full-Time Salary Range:
$90,000 - $135,000 Knowesis is seeking an SME IV - Scientific Data Analyst to provide senior-level data management and analytic support to PHCoE's research and surveillance missions. This role independently conducts queries of large military health administrative datasets to support evidence-based decision-making across the Center's data management and psychological health surveillance functions. The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Independently conduct queries of large military health administrative data to create analyzable datasets supporting research and epidemiological studies. Develop and maintain conventions for naming, labeling, and storing data tables from multiple health and administrative data sources. Use structured query language to generate analytic data files and transform variables per project requirements. Interact with enterprise medical databases to conduct epidemiological, clinical surveillance, and medical intelligence investigations. Produce technical artifacts (e.g., reports, tools, briefings, presentations, and manuscripts) consistent with the PHCoE mission set.
Required Qualifications:
Master's Degree At least 13 years of full-time work experience analyzing large administrative healthcare data. At least 3 years of full-time experience accessing, navigating, and conducting analyses within the MHS Information Platform (MIP) or its predecessor systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate Advanced proficiency with SAS, SQL, or R for data management and analysis. Proven experience creating data visualizations and dashboards for executive audiences.
