Engineering Data Analytics Specialist - Powertrain Programs.

The Engineering Data Analytics Specialist supports Technical Value Management (TVM) initiatives across powertrain engineering organizations by providing data analysis, reporting, dashboard development, and project tracking support.

The role enables engineering teams to achieve cost-reduction objectives through actionable insights derived from engineering and cost-related data.

This position requires strong Power BI expertise, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to transform large datasets into executive-level reporting and business intelligence tools.

The individual will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, product development, and program teams to monitor cost-saving initiatives, track implementation progress, and improve reporting efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Analyzing engineering and cost-related datasets.

Performing data mining and trend analysis.

Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards.

Creating executive-level visualizations and reports.

Automating reporting processes.

Tracking cost-saving initiatives and project milestones.

Supporting engineering review meetings and status reporting.

Improving reporting methodologies and data visibility.

Developing standardized metrics and KPI reporting systems.

Maintaining data integrity and validating data accuracy.

Requirements:

3+ years of experience in: Data Analysis, Reporting, Engineering Analytics

Experience supporting: o Engineering organizations, Manufacturing organizations, Automotive organizations, Product Development organizations

Experience managing large datasets.

Experience creating executive-level reports and dashboards.

Experience developing reporting metrics and analytics tools.

Experience supporting cross-functional teams and project activities.

Skills Required:

Data Analytics & Reporting, Power BI (Required),

Advanced Microsoft Excel, Data Analysis, Data Mining, Dashboard Development, KPI Reporting, Trend Analysis, Data Modeling, Data Cleansing, Data Validation, Executive Reporting Program & Project Support, Meeting Coordination, Action Item Tracking, Workplan Management, Milestone Tracking, Project Tracking, Cross-Functional Communication Business Intelligence, Data Visualization, Reporting Automation, Quantitative Analysis, Data Integrity Management, Business Insights Development Preferred:

Automotive industry experience.

Powertrain engineering support experience.

Experience supporting Technical Value Management (TVM) initiatives.

Experience supporting cost-reduction programs.

Experience with advanced Power BI development.

Experience using Power Query and DAX.

Experience with workflow automation tools.

Experience utilizing AI-driven reporting and analytics solutions.

Skills Preferred:
SQL, Power Query, DAX, SharePoint, Power Automate, AI-Based Reporting Tools, AI Analytics Platforms, Cost Reduction Program Support, Automotive Industry Experience, Powertrain Engineering Support Experience Education:

Bachelor's Degree in one of the following: Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Related Technical Field

Preferred:

Master's degree in Data Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field may be advantageous but is not listed as a requirement.
