Job Description

Overview The Enterprise Data Steward is the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for data used within BISSELL. The data steward is responsible for knowing how our data is collected, maintained, and interpreted inside and outside of the organization. The data steward is also responsible for establishing data-quality metrics and requirements, including defining values, ranges, and parameters, that are required for each data element, and ensuring those are shared, discoverable and reportable. The Enterprise Data Steward is involved in the development and design of BISSELL's Data Governance processes and implements those processes to ensure data quality, including the development and maintenance of a data catalog. They work with the business teams to establish processes, procedures and internal controls used for the detection and correction of data-quality issues. The Enterprise Data Steward will also assist in the development of data protection guidelines and protocols that govern the proliferation of data. This will include retention, archival, and disposal requirements to ensure compliance with BISSELL policy. The Enterprise Data Steward will assist the Global Data Compliance Team with PII (Personally Identifiable Information) data identification and analysis. Responsibilities Provide SME (Subject Matter Expert) support as it relates to Data Management and Data Governance. Work with technical and business teams to ensure that all assigned data is defined, used and loaded accurately. Works cross functionally and globally with business and technical experts and provides input to project teams. Monitors defined interfaces and assist in the resolution of interface errors. Lead business readiness and execution of defined interfaces to ensure resource alignment, communicate status, escalate issues, and continuous process improvement. Defines data quality and data management requirements for new and existing interfaces Ensures all governed and managed data is tracked in a data catalog Supports data conversion activities for project launches. Maintains good data quality principles in all activities Prepares presentations and training materials as needed Conducts training Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
Degree minimum: Bachelor's Degree Specific concentration:
Open Experience Level:
1-3 years' experience working in a Data Governance or Data Management role
SPECIALIZED TRAINING/EDUCATION PREFERRED
Data Hub Implementation Experience Project Management Database Structures Proficiency with SQL and Python languages Proficiency with data governance and data management tools like
Informatica or AWS Qualifications:
