Main Campus General Summary Coordinate and implement the development and maintenance of databases, including analyzing and reporting data needed to support accreditation procedures and processes as well as student learning assessment, planning, and improvement activities within the assigned college. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Support accreditation procedures and processes for the assigned college, including compiling, collecting, and analyzing information and data for statistical reports. Develop and maintain databases of accreditation-related information. Support faculty and staff in their work to identify, store, and analyze student learning assessment data. Support faculty and staff in database use, data analysis, and data maintenance. Manipulate and create statistical reports from SCT Banner, EMU, and other appropriate information systems for accreditation purposes. Identify, gather, and organize data to provide accurate and timely information. Serve as the key contact for staff and faculty for data reporting. Meet with faculty, staff, and appropriate accrediting body representatives, as needed, regarding assessment and accreditation issues. Conduct or participate in workshops, committees, and conferences designed for the area of assignment. Serve as liaison to other departments and colleges within EMU for accreditation purposes. Perform technical data support duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of statistical analysis, quantitative and analytical processes, data collection/management, and excellent organizational communication skills acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree in business administration, technology, engineering, education or a related field, is necessary. A minimum of 3 years of experience with database development and maintenance is required. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing (including electronically) at a high level of competency is required. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently with attention to detail and to meet deadlines is essential. Knowledge and success in implementation of models, processes and techniques used to develop a continuous improvement environment is necessary. Ability to work in a team environment is necessary.Preferred Qualifications:
A master's degree in these or a related field, is preferred. Knowledge of EMU data and electronic systems and programs in the assigned college is preferred. Experience with an accreditation process is preferred.Special Instructions:
