https://flowcontrolgroup.com/ FCG is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to help shape our data and analytics program by providing data analysis of source systems, defining data transformation rules for data warehouse development, delivering analytic applications, and working with end users to define and implement requirements while training and mentoring them to build skills with our toolsets. This position will be heavily focused on data analysis for the development of our Snowflake ecosystem, business partner collaboration, and development and support of data analytics products and users.
Key Responsibilities:
Interface with
Business Partners:
Work closely with end users to analyze and document requirements and ensure the successful implementation of analytic solutions.
Solution Design:
Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements and align with best practices.
Development:
Develop and implement data applications in BI tools to meet business requirements and enhance user experience. Create proof of concept solutions and evolve into a production-ready application.
Data Analysis:
Analyze data for anomalies, quality, and adherence to standards. Identify transformations required to meet requirements. Become the SME for source systems and data ingestions.
Training and Support:
Provide comprehensive training and support to end-users. Create and maintain detailed training materials and documentation.
Testing and Validation:
Test data solutions and analytic applications to ensure that business requirements are met and perform as expected.
Master Data:
Understand master data across the enterprise, support efforts to identify, document, and cleanse master data records, and interface with domain data stewards as needed.
Metadata:
Work with business users, technical teams, and data stewards to create documentation, data dictionaries, and metadata to support end-user understanding of analytic applications. Support and implement functionality in our metadata repository.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Proven experience working with business stakeholders to define requirements for analytic projects. Minimum 3-5 years of experience with ERP systems like P21, SAP, NetSuite, or Business Central. Minimum 3-5 years of experience with business intelligence tools like Power BI, Tableau, Sigma, Phocas, or Qlik. Minimum 3 years of experience analyzing data sets to identify anomalies, data quality issues, and deviations from data requirements. Proven experience designing and implementing data solutions and business intelligence applications in large-scale enterprise environments. Experience in training and supporting end-users. Minimum of 3 years working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects and priorities.
Additional Technical Skills:
Proficient in SQL and Snowflake. Understanding of data management disciplines, including master data, metadata, data integrations, data warehousing, and data modeling. Experience creating architecture diagrams as well as documenting requirements and design details.
Required Analytical Skills:
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into technical requirements. Skill in evaluating end-user experience and usability in all designs. Expertise in working with users to define KPIs that align with business objectives. Ability to analyze data and compare to requirements to identify gaps in data or definitions. Ability to effectively test data products and analyze data, looking for patterns and anomalies in the data that impact analytic deliverables. Ensure alignment with data standards and data governance.

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
