Return to the home page Printable Format Job Description - Data Governance Lead (CREQ255099) Job Description Data Governance Lead - ( CREQ255099 ) Description Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a leading banking client. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data governance frameworks, data lineage, metadata management, and data quality, with the ability to drive enterprise-level governance initiatives. Key Responsibilities Assess current data lineage, metadata, and data quality practices Perform attribute-level data lineage analysis Identify gaps in lineage coverage and automation Analyze and profile data quality issues (accuracy, completeness, consistency) Define and implement data quality (DQ) rules, KPIs, and monitoring frameworks Recommend and implement metadata and data catalog strategies Define standards for data lineage, data glossary, and data quality Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure governance alignment Support governance initiatives in line with regulatory and enterprise standards Work in an Agile/Scrum environment and follow SDLC best practices Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum 8+ years of experience in Data Governance (Design, Development, Implementation) Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices Hands-on experience with data lineage, metadata management, and data quality Proficiency in SQL and data analysis Experience with tools such as Tableau, JIRA Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and SDLC processes Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently and drive initiatives
