Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Senior Analyst (Data Strategy and Analytics) for the Data Strategy Office within The New Brunswick Chancellor's Budget Office . Among the key duties of the position are the following: Provides analytical support for data use strategy, assisting the Rutgers University academic and administrative community. Works closely with the Associate Vice Chancellor - Data Strategy, leading efforts in the compiling of data and reports, essential for decision making. Leads institutional data compilation, analyses, visualizations, and internal reporting, as well as data management and data governance. Works closely with School/College and administrative units' leadership along with other departments and stakeholders to identify appropriate data elements and analytics tools to address institutional questions and communicate results to multiple audiences using various means. Adapts quickly to comprehend the unique business and operational constraints and needs and resolve those challenges, employing data analysis expertise to create solutions through the application of appropriate analytical techniques and methods. Works will be performed under minimal supervision using a wide degree of creativity and discretion. At least three years' experience working in a data related role within Institutional research, Enterprise Analytics or related office to fulfil data request, build dashboards, and compile data summary reports. Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficiency and experience using data warehouses, various reporting and statistical analysis tools. An understanding of using data extraction tools such as
SQL , SAS
, R, Python; data analysis tools such as SPSS ; Data Visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI. Experience with higher education administrative/student information systems, including a technical understanding of data warehousing and data mining. Demonstrated expertise with MS Excel. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree with an emphasis on data analytics and data systems. Experience with SIS and reporting systems. Equipment Utilized
