DATA ANALYST I - STARTING PAY
$22.06 - $24.35 PER
HOUR DOE BRIEF DESCRIPTION
This position involves updating property ownership records based on deed transfers and court documents, requiring the employee to verify ownership and legal descriptions. Candidates should be skilled in pulling maps, identifying and scaling parcels, and conducting thorough research. Familiarity with legal descriptions, deeds, subdivisions, and mapping is preferred. Employee must engage with the public regarding deed questions and other related topics. Must be able to exercise independent judgement and perform all duties with minimal supervision. Employee may be required to work irregular hours, attend job-related meetings, and classes out of town, and perform all other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Six months experience in deeds and identifying property splits of legal descriptions preferred. Knowledge of principles, care, use and techniques involved in the Tyler System and Connect Explorer with proficiency in Word, Excel and other windowsbased software. This person should have some understanding of deeds, legal descriptions, subdivisions and maps.
Qualifications:
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word programs.
Certifications:
Employees are required to attend IAAO course 101 within 18 months of hire, obtaining a certificate of attendance. Additionally, those who pass the respective exam and earn a certificate of completion will be eligible for the incentive pay and promoted to Data Analyst II.
Typing:
Must be able to type 40 words per minute (wpm).
MUST PROVIDE A CURRENT TYPING TEST.
Pre-employment testing: All job offers are contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
License:
Must have, or ability to obtain, a current valid NM drivers license and be insurable by the County Insurance Authority.
MUST PROVIDE A CURRENT DRIVING RECORD.
Communication:
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English required.
People Skills:
Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments, and the public
Typing Skills:
Must be able to accurately type 40 wpm.
MUST PROVIDE COPY OF TYPING TEST.
Office Skills:
Must be able to plan and prioritize work, file alphabetically and in numerical order.
Certification:
To be a Data Analyst, IAAO Course 101 must be passed within 18 months. This is a requirement of this position. This person should have some understanding of legal descriptions, deeds, subdivisions and maps.
