Job Summary The Vice President (VP) of Data Analytics provides strategic leadership for the organization's enterprise analytics, evaluation, and data-driven decision-making. This role is responsible for transforming programmatic operations into actionable insights that drive performance and value. The VP of Data Analytics serves as a bridge between technical data experts (HR, Finance, and IT) and executive leadership, ensuring that data is not only accurate and accessible, but aligned with organizational goals, outcomes, and community impact. The VP actively participates in quality and process improvement evaluation, and reporting requirements and develops outcomes and KPIs, ensuring that data moves beyond dashboards and counts — becoming a strategic asset that drives outcomes, value, objectivity, and organizational learning.
Qualifications Education:
Master's Degree or higher in data analytics, statistics, public health, economics, data science, or related field
License or Certification:
Experience:
Demonstrated experience leading enterprise analytics in complex, multi-stakeholder environments A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in analytics, evaluation, or data leadership Experience in healthcare, population health, public sector, or community-based organizations preferred Experience supporting value-based care, outcomes-based funding, or performance-driven contracts preferred Familiarity with BI tools, data visualizations platforms such as Tableau, and advanced analytics techniques preferred Experience closely with Finance, HR, and IT leaders preferred
Skills:
Ability to translate technical findings into executive-level insight Strong understanding of data governance, performance measurement, and evaluation methodologies Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and lead a comprehensive enterprise analytics strategy aligned with organizational mission, strategy, and value-based goals Establish and oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) that integrate financial, workforce, operational, quality, and outcomes data Ensure consistency in data definitions, standards, and methodologies across departments Lead the development of predictive, prescriptive, and impact analytics to support strategic planning, population health, and performance improvement Design and oversee evaluation frameworks linking inputs, activities, outputs, outcomes, and impact Translate complex data analyses into clear, compelling insights for executive leadership, board of directors, founders, and external stakeholders Co-lead enterprise data governance efforts, including data quality, stewardship, access, and ethical use Ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, and security standards related to data use and reporting Promote data integrity and reliability across all analytics and products Oversee the development of programmatic and operational dashboards, scorecards, and reports that drive accountability and performance Ensure analytics outputs are accessible, unbiased, and understandable for heterogenous audiences Elevate the organization's data literacy and analytic maturity through coaching and professional development Oversee and mentor a team (2-3 direct reports initially, with expected growth), including hiring, coaching, performance management, and capability development Lead and develop analytics and evaluation Foster a culture of curiosity, continues improvement, and evidence-based decision-making Build internal capacity for data use across departments Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Finance to connect cost, revenue, and financial performance with outcomes, ROI, and value-based metrics Partner with Human Resources (HR) to link workforce analytics (staffing, engagement, retention) to quality, productivity, and organizational performance Partner with IT to align data infrastructure, governance, security, and analytics tools with business and evaluation needs Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on data-informed decision-making Other Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other duties as assigned Working Conditions The nature of work requires an ability to effectively communicate and exchange information, collect, compile, and prepare work documents, operate standard business office equipment, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment. Work performed in a general office environment. Hours of work may exceed normal business hours during peak periods, frequent local travel to sites of service and occasional regional travel for continuing education and conferences.
