The Markets Coordination department directly supports Dispatch Operations in real time operations. The Markets Coordination department performs market-related functions to support the PJM System Operators to ensure efficient market operations while maintaining reliability and stability of the power grid. The department also supports the market-related activities in the Market Services Division which have impact on power system operations. This position focuses on analytical evaluation and reporting of data required for System Operations and Market Services.
Responsibilities:
Identifying, creating, and preparing data required for analysis and visualization Assuring that data is cleansed, mapped, transformed, and optimized for storage and use according to business and technical requirements Identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing automation of tasks Loading transformed data into storage and reporting structures such as data warehouses, real-time reporting systems and analytics applications Drawing conclusions from data analysis and assessing recommendations
Requirements and Skills:
2-5 years of relevant experience in data science and/or data analysis Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or similar Experience working with large and complex data sets; big data projects Knowledge/Experience with SQL and Oracle PL/SQL Knowledge /Experience with Tableau and Databricks preferred Performance/security-oriented data modeling and data design, including partitions, different type of indexes, views, and most effective data management practices preferred
