Saint-Gobain Keyword Location Search view all jobs Customer Master Data Analyst Malvern, PA Posted 2 days ago Apply Now The Customer Master Data ("CMD") Analyst is responsible for providing technical expertise to effectively manage information across a complex matrix of systems, create actionable insights, and drive improvements to the customer master data process across Saint-Gobain in North America. The CMD Analyst will utilize a mix of technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills to identify opportunities and lead the Customer Master Data governance strategy forward. This role requires a strong focus on governance and processes including standardization, automation, and streamlining of data
  • In this role, you must be leader who is able to effectively manage data and communications across the organization with the ability to multi-task and reprioritize tasks based on deadlines and business requirements
  • Additionally, must be able to utilize all relevant systems and processes to effectively meet the complex needs of the organizations evolving data requirements
DATA MANAGEMENT
Adhere to data management governance rules, in collaboration with the Manager; actively enforce data governance, processes, and procedures as they relate to MDM and the local business ERPs (ex: SAP/S4 and QAD) Ensuring accuracy in data analysis and recognizing anomalies or errors in data. Proactively takes action to address and correct, where needed Approach problems logically and make informed decisions based on the data Provide solutions to business problems using data-driven approaches Engages as subject matter expert on cross-functional project teams Identify improvement areas for automation and agility as it relates to data integration and reporting Any other projects or duties as assigned by Manager
ANALYTICS & INSIGHTS
Assesses data from a variety of sources to gain insights into data strategies and opportunities Creates and distributes regular and ad hoc reports to relevant stakeholder teams as applicable. Clearly convey findings, both written and orally, to non-technical stakeholders. This includes creating reports and presentations that give insight from the data Collaborate with other departments or teams, understanding their needs, and providing them with relevant data insights Create reports that communicate Customer Master activity from all systems that are used for onboarding Working in compliance with all company policies and procedures, including appropriate archiving of all documentation required Create and maintain any work instructions or reporting requirements
DATA QUALITY AND INTEGRATIONS
Maintain expert understanding of existing data structure of the business being integrated Work with business to clean and prepare data. This includes structuring of the data to align with existing ERP or MDM framework, and transforming data into a format that allows for smooth integration into ERP or MDM Perform field mapping to align data with existing account and hierarchy structures Identify gaps
  • new fields requirements, process issues, etc.
that need to be addressed prior to go live and develop a resolution that satisfies the business need while still aligning with existing data requirements and governance Meet all deadlines for mock loads as set by the project teams Responsible to ensure any new configuration requirements are done timely by IT and available for data uploads
CUSTOMER MASTER BUSINESS COORDINATION
Lead cross-functional discussions and meetings as they relate to Customer Master Ensures timely, responsible, and professional communication to internal customers of data as it progresses thru go live Strong awareness and understanding of the complexities and nuances of all businesses and any potential down stream impacts relating to new requirements Effective collaboration with the Sales, Customer Service, IT, Credit Department, Data & Analytics to ensure customer master is on track is aligned and any data needed. Bachelor's degree in Business, Data/Information Management, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or related field; or equivalent experience. A minimum of 3-5 years in a data management (or similar) role in a large, complex business environment Hands-on experience in MDM and master data governance (Preference for experience with customer master (or vendor master management) Ability to influence others without having direct authority and demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and proactively engage cross functional constituents Experienced in applying and following established procedures and work instructions to complete day to day responsibilities, which are generally well-defined and straight-forward, but require occasional deviations. Requires good analytical and problem solving skills, capable of sound decision making. Focus efforts and attention on understanding and satisfying customer needs, while participating in the Company's quality standards. Good written / verbal communication skills. Listen to others to interact in the most appropriate and constructive way. Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment, demonstrating a high level of integrity and accuracy. Influence without formal authority; facilitate cross-functional alignment across multiple stakeholders in the organization including Credit, Customer Service, and IT. Prioritize in a fast-paced environment; deliver against SLAs while maintaining high data quality standards and control posture. Communicate complex data and governance concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
