Overview Partner closely with the Claims leadership team and other functions within Claims to develop reports, metrics, and dashboards that support Staff Counsel and potentially the larger claims organization initiatives. Build, update, and maintain a claims operations reporting suite and deliver on several high-impact and high-visibility analytical projects for both the Claims and the Executive Leadership Teams. All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Develop and maintain subject matter expertise for all claims reporting platforms and delivery methods, including but not limited to advanced functionality and content.
Establish and maintain a monthly claims legal, operational reporting package that includes a dashboard, scorecards, and reports utilizing Power BI, Cognos, Microsoft Excel, and legal platforms.
Support the claims team with ad-hoc analytical requests from management platforms such as Team Connect, Legal X, and claims financial/transactional platforms and databases.
Compile and analyze audit data relating to law firm performance and litigation support vendor performance. Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance, including opportunities for Staff Counsel efficiencies.
Perform descriptive analytics by producing and analyzing metrics and identifying data trends. Develop tables, charts, and graphs, including executive summaries for Executive Leadership.
Develop and document processes and techniques to extract, clean, and analyze data. Conduct training, including developing user procedures, guidelines, and documentation. Train the various Claims teams and new system users on new processes/functionality.
Educate end users on the various claims platforms. Seek out opportunities to scale Claims platforms and flag opportunities for efficiencies. Conduct impact analysis of technology changes on business processes and existing technology.
Leverage effective facilitation and collaboration skills to partner with cross-functional stakeholders.
Attend team meetings, roundtables, depositions, trials, etc., as needed. Qualifications Knowledge and Requirements Knowledge of claims financial/transactional platforms and databases
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships
Strong organizational, time management, and project prioritization skills
Excellent written communication skills; ability to clearly express thoughts and ideas through documentation
Expert proficiency in most standard business software applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to generate reports and build dashboards utilizing Cognos analytics
Meticulous attention to detail
Property and Casualty industry knowledge Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree preferred or 5+ years of experience developing analytics, reporting and providing actionable recommendations driven by data.

The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. Additional considerations include relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance, and business needs. Pay Range USD $83,000.00 - USD $108,000.00 /Yr.
