Job Summary:
We are supporting a leading organization that is seeking a Data Analyst to help advance laboratory data capture, instrument integration, testing, and analytics across a process development environment. This position plays an important part in translating business needs into clear requirements, validating data and workflows, and supporting delivery of dashboards, documentation, and release readiness.
Responsibilities:
Gather, document, and refine detailed, testable business and functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows. Support backlog refinement, prioritization, dependency tracking, roadmap planning, and issue management using JIRA or similar tools. Create and execute test scripts, support UAT and validation activities, document results and evidence, and assist with defect triage and release readiness. Use SQL and analytics or visualization tools to investigate, validate, and present laboratory and instrument data through dashboards or reporting views.
Required:
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in Science, Technology, Business Analysis, Laboratory Informatics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or Associate's degree and 10 years of experience, or High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience in one of these areas. Hands-on experience writing requirements, managing backlogs, and supporting testing, UAT, validation, documentation, and defect triage. Working knowledge of JIRA or a similar tool for requirements, backlog, issue, and defect tracking. Experience with laboratory informatics or scientific data workflows such as ELN, LIMS, sample management, or instrument data acquisition, plus SQL and dashboard or reporting tools such as Databricks, Spotfire, Tableau, or equivalent.
