This position requires deep expertise in Power BI, data modeling, and stakeholder engagement, along with the ability to contribute to broader data architecture and engineering initiatives. This is a remote position. Candidate must live and work in Wisconsin. Requires eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship. Compensation:
$100,000 - $115,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain high-quality reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI Gather and analyze technical requirements from stakeholders across the organization Develop and maintain data models to support analytics, reporting, and self-service BI Provide ongoing administration, tuning, and support for Power BI and related tools Establish and promote standards for report design, data modeling, and data visualization Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, quality, and alignment across systems and reporting solutions Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, delivering actionable insights to business leaders Support and influence data governance, documentation, and data quality initiatives Contribute to the design and evolution of data architecture, including data transformations and pipeline development using tools such as dbt or similar frameworks Mentor and guide less experienced analysts, fostering best practices in BI development and data modeling Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in business intelligence, data engineering, and analytics
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years of relevant data analyst experience Advanced experience building scalable, insight-driven dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI or similar business intelligence tools, including performance optimization and troubleshooting Strong understanding of data visualization best practices, including user experience (UX) design and storytelling with data Experience developing and maintaining standards for report design, performance, and usability Solid knowledge of data modeling techniques, including dimensional modeling and semantic layer design Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into actionable insights Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and layered data architectures. Experience with data transformation tools (e.g., dbt) Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Snowflake) Understanding of version control tools (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices is a plus Candidate must live and work in Wisconsin Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
