Job Description

The role You will turn construction project data into new business. Each day you will review new and updated projects on Dodge Construction Network and similar platforms, identify the ones that need our trades, find the general contractors, construction managers and subcontractors on them, and reach out to get NCCC on their bid list. You own the top of our sales funnel: finding the project, finding the people, and making the first contact. You report directly to the Managing Partner. What you will do Project intelligence (Dodge and other lead sources) Review Dodge Construction Network search results daily and flag projects that are new, re-bid, or have changed stage since the last review. Filter for projects that fit our trades: structural steel buildings needing SFRM or intumescent fireproofing, buildings needing spray insulation, and industrial facilities needing coatings, linings or blasting. Track each project's stage (planning, bidding, awarded, under construction), bid date, estimated value, location and the firms attached to it. Maintain a clean master pipeline spreadsheet or CRM so the Managing Partner and Head of Estimation can see at a glance what is new, what is due, and who we have contacted. Outreach For each qualified project, identify the general contractor, construction manager, planholders and relevant subcontractors (steel erectors, drywall/plaster, mechanical) and find the right estimating or purchasing contact. Reach out by email, phone and LinkedIn to introduce NCCC, request to be added to their bid list, and ask for the bid package or ITB. Log every touch, follow up on a schedule, and hand warm leads and bid invitations to the estimating team. Keep contact lists segmented by market (PA, NJ, DE, MD, MA, CT) and by relationship status (new, contacted, bid list, bidding, won).
Reporting Send a weekly summary:
new projects found, projects qualified, contacts made, bid invitations received, and bids submitted. Build simple dashboards or charts showing pipeline volume and conversion by market and by GC. Suggest improvements to search criteria, target lists and outreach templates based on what gets responses. What we are looking for Must have Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in business, construction management, data analytics or a related field. Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills: filtering, pivot tables, lookups, and keeping a large list clean and current. Comfortable making cold calls and writing short, professional cold emails to busy estimators and project managers.
Organized and self-directed:
you can run a daily routine without supervision and keep records that others rely on. Clear written and spoken English. Nice to have Experience with Dodge Construction Network, ConstructConnect, BuildingConnected, Procore or a similar construction lead or bid platform. Familiarity with commercial or industrial construction, especially structural steel, fireproofing, insulation or coatings. Experience with a CRM (HubSpot, Zoho, Pipedrive) or a cold-email tool (Apollo, Lemlist, Instantly). Basic data visualization (Excel charts, Google Looker Studio, Power BI).
