at Payroc in Tinley Park, Illinois, United States Job Description Aggregate, analyze, mine, manipulate, and validate large sets of raw transaction-level business intelligence data from payment gateways, merchant onboarding systems, fraud engines, settlement platforms, and external processors Apply statistics and algorithms to derive actionable insights from data sets and collaborate with information technology team members and software developers to support the generation and development of Payroc's automated insights generation framework payroll software data analytics applications and internal software data analytics applications and systems using those insights Conduct analysis on transaction flows to identify trends in authorization success, decline codes, card network behavior, and merchant performance to identify business problems or management objectives that can be addressed through data analysis Design, develop, and conduct statistical analyses, including predictive and prescriptive modelling and visualization in order to turn sets of disparate data points from computer data systems into objective answers Create graphs, charts, and other visualizations to convey the results of data analysis and deliver presentations of such results Develop and implement advanced processes and tools to monitor model performance and analyze data accuracy to ensure Payroc's automated insights generation framework payroll software data analytics applications are delivering accurate data points and actionable insights Create and maintain a structured data dictionary and key performance indicator definitions for payment metrics such as approval rates, interchange fees, processing volumes, and dispute ratios, and present actionable insights derived from statistical analyses to Payroc team members in a clear, distilled manner to allow them to make informed, data-driven decisions Gather and analyze user requirements for data analytics and assist end users in leveraging available data for analysis and reporting through Payroc's platform software solutions Research emerging analytic trends by reading scientific articles, conference papers, and other sources of research relevant to business intelligence and data analytics A Master's Degree in Information Technology Management, Computer Science, Statistics, or Actuarial Science is required (a Foreign Educational Equivalent is acceptable). $132,225.00 per year is the wage for this position.
