Metadata Profiling Analyst (BA)

Our Client, a multi-national telecommunications technology is seeking an experienced Metadata Profiling Analyst to join their Data Governance team. In this role, you will work directly with the end-client application owners to gather, analyze, and profile metadata for onboarding into an enterprise metadata management platform. This role is Hybrid, onsite 3 days/week in Plano, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with end-client application owners to collect, understand, and profile metadata for integration into the enterprise metadata management platform
• Analyze metadata structures and ensure alignment with Data Governance policies and platform requirements
• Use SQL to run queries for data extraction, validation, and troubleshooting during metadata profiling
• Communicate effectively with technical and non technical stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues
• Document metadata profiling activities, onboarding steps, and data quality findings

Required Skills Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Data Management, or related field
• Strong SQL skills, including writing and optimizing queries.
• Good knowledge of metadata concepts, structures, and governance practices
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to analyze complex datasets and identify data quality issues

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the telecom industry
• Familiarity with data lineage, data modeling, or ETL processes
• Knowledge of enterprise application ecosystems and governance frameworks
