Toast Reporting Analyst

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst with hands-on expertise in Toast (POS system) to lead a short-term implementation and optimization engagement. This consultant will be responsible for executing a 30-day Toast implementation, ensuring accurate data mapping, reporting integrity, and alignment with operational workflows.

This role requires a strong blend of technical system knowledge and functional business analysis, particularly within restaurant or hospitality environments. The consultant will work cross-functionally with operations, finance, and leadership to ensure reporting accuracy and system effectiveness.

This is a fully remote engagement, with an initial onsite kickoff in Tampa, FL (travel expenses covered).Key ResponsibilitiesLead and execute a Toast POS implementation within a 30-day timeline.

Extract, validate, and map data across Toast to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Generate and analyze key operational and financial reports, including:

Labor reportingProfitability reportingTips distribution analysis (including gratuity integration)Partner with internal stakeholders to validate reporting logic and business rules.

Collaborate directly with Toast support for system configuration, including:

Gift card management and database setupDifferentiation of delivery vs. catering revenue streamsAnalyze inventory data to identify:

Waste trendsProduct shortagesSupport menu configuration and updates, including recipe alignment.

Assist with invoice and expense data workflows, including coordination with third-party tools (e.g., Extra Chef).Provide documentation, recommendations, and knowledge transfer at project completion.
