Job Description

Needs very strong Excel to calculate the taxes in a new system. The role is data accuracy, not system functionality like normal QA roles. The Data QA Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, validating, and testing data to ensure accuracy and integrity before it is used by the organization and its clients. This role has a strong emphasis on reviewing tax data and analyzing how taxes are applied across multiple countries to ensure compliance and correctness.
Key Responsibilities Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that tax calculations and application logic are functioning correctly within systems. Test new releases, enhancements, and configurations to ensure tax rules are accurately implemented. Identify, document, and track defects related to tax calculations or data discrepancies, and partner with stakeholders to resolve issues. Analyze and validate tax-related data across global jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy in how taxes are calculated and applied. Collect, review, and verify data before storage and downstream use. Apply standard statistical and/or financial analysis techniques to assess data quality and reliability. Ensure data integrity by performing quality assurance checks, identifying missing or inconsistent data, and resolving anomalies. Investigate discrepancies in tax application and recommend corrective actions. Identify opportunities to improve data collection processes and systems, particularly related to tax data, and propose solutions. Qualifications Up to 3 years of relevant experience in data analysis, finance, accounting, UAT/QA testing, or a related discipline is preferred. Basic understanding of tax concepts or strong interest in learning global tax rules and applications. Familiarity with QA or UAT testing practices is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
