Job Description:
Technical Focus & Experience ?
SQL Proficiency:
Expert-level SQL skills to design complex test scenarios and scripts that validate business tables used for critical reporting. ?
Test Design:
Proven ability to create comprehensive Test Plans specifically for data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, data quality, lineage, and performance. ? Work with existing QA to lead functional and non-functional data testing strategies (e.g., data volume, latency, and accuracy) with minimal oversight. ?
Education/Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in CS or Engineering, with at least 2 years of experience in an SDET or Data Engineering role focused on complex manual SQL queries Operational/Troubleshooting ? Interpret data quality metrics and test logs to identify and resolve upstream data issues. ? Relate production reporting discrepancies to specific SQL transformations or data ingestion workflows. Competency ? Possess a solid grasp of the business logic within data models and a cursory knowledge of how data flows from source systems to end-user reports. ? Independently investigate automation failures and provide corrective SQL or logic recommendations
