Role Summary :
Responsible for analyzing enterprise Data Quality defects, identifying recurring systemic issues, performing root-cause analysis and converting individual incidents into a prioritized remediation backlog. Required Skills Strong Data Quality and root-cause analysis experience. Strong SQL skills. Working knowledge of Python for data analysis. Experience working with APIs and enterprise workflow/ticketing platforms. Knowledge of Data Quality and metadata tools such as BigEye and Alation Understanding of ETL/ELT, source systems, data platforms and reporting layers. Strong analytical and problem-solving capability. Ability to work across technical and business teams. Preferred Skills CDMP certification preferred. Experience with AI/LLM-based classification or clustering. Knowledge of data lineage and metadata-management concepts. Experience in highly governed or regulated data environments. Key Responsibilities Consolidate Data Quality incidents and defects from enterprise workflow or ticketing systems. Normalize defect descriptions, root causes, ownership and resolution information. Develop and maintain a standardized DQ defect taxonomy. Identify duplicate, recurring and related defects. Analyze trends by domain, data asset, application, DQ dimension and root cause. Use analytical and AI-assisted techniques to cluster related defects into systemic themes. Validate proposed root causes with business and technical SMEs. Correlate defects with metadata and lineage information where available. Determine the most appropriate source, pipeline, transformation or consumption-layer remediation point. Prioritize systemic issues based on recurrence, impact, criticality, age and downstream exposure. Create and maintain a prioritized remediation backlog. Support assignment of owners and remediation SLAs. Validate remediation using Data Quality evidence. Develop reporting for defect recurrence, aging, ownership and remediation progress.
