Job Description
A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated Data Risk Analyst to join their team in the McLean, Virginia area.
Responsibilities:
Support the HR Manager in HR Data Risk, in assigned tasks related to established procedures Assist in the compliance and maintenance of data governance policies, standards, and procedures Monitor compliance with internal data policies and external regulatory requirements (e.g., Enterprise Data Governance and Information Security instructions and standards, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.) Support risk reporting by analyzing data and producing dashboards, scorecards, and executive summaries, as requested Participate in data incident investigations, root cause analyses, and remediation tracking. Work with data stewards, data owners, legal, and compliance teams to promote awareness and accountability for data risk Assist with risk assessments and control/evidence activities as directed Stay up-to-date on emerging data risks, industry best practices, and regulatory changes Contribute to the continuous improvement of data risk documentation, assessments, and control evaluation processesQualifications:
3+ years of experience in Analytics, Data Governance, Data Quality, Risk, Project Support, or Consulting Bachelor's Degree Hands-on proficiency building dashboards in Power BI and/or Tableau (or equivalent BI tool) Comfortable working with large datasets and creating repeatable, accurate reporting Strong document production skills, including formatting discipline, version control habits, and high accuracy under volume Ability to work independently with minimal direction once objectives and standards are set Clear written and verbal communicationDesired Qualifications:
Experience in Financial Services (credit union, bank, etc.) or Regulated industries Familiarity with Data Governance concepts, including: Critical Data Elements, Data Ownership, Data Controls, and Issue Management Experience with ServiceNow, GRC platforms, or data catalog tooling. Experience supporting application rationalization, decommissioning, or migration effortsSimilar remote jobs
