Job Description
This position will be located on-site in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Primary Responsibilities Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to analyze large datasets and uncover trends, patterns, and insights. Collaborate with data analysts, developers, and government departments to understand data requirements and deliver actionable solutions. Clean and preprocess data, ensuring data quality and integrity for modeling purposes. Use statistical analysis techniques to provide insights and support policy development for state government programs. Create data-driven reports and visualizations that communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Assist in the design and implementation of data collection methodologies, ensuring data is consistent and aligned with the state's needs. Stay updated with the latest data science trends and technologies, applying new tools to improve analysis and modeling techniques.
Knowledge and Skills Proficiency in statistical software, machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow), and data visualization tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large, complex datasets. Ability to write clear, detailed reports and present findings effectively to stakeholders Advanced statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data modeling techniques. Data mining, natural language processing, and AI-based predictive modeling. Programming languages such as Python, R, or similar tools for data science. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong collaboration skills. Ability to translate complex data findings into actionable insights for government decision-makers. Ability to manage and analyze big data effectively.
Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field; or a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field plus one year of relevant experience. Licensure/Certifications
