About Us RasouliSpine is a high-volume, cutting-edge spine surgery practice focused on delivering world-class patient care through innovation and advanced surgical techniques. We are actively expanding our research initiatives at the intersection of artificial intelligence and spine surgery, with a focus on improving clinical outcomes, optimizing workflows, and advancing the future of musculoskeletal care. Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher with a strong interest in orthopaedics/spine and artificial intelligence to support grant writing, research development, and proposal submissions. This role will play a key part in building and executing research initiatives centered on AI-driven advancements in spine surgery. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate interested in academic medicine, applied AI in healthcare, and translational research within a dynamic clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and support writing of research grants (NIH, foundation, and industry-sponsored) Develop research proposals focused on AI applications in spine surgery and orthopaedics Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to identify research opportunities Conduct literature reviews and synthesize findings into manuscripts and proposals Assist in building datasets and research frameworks for AI/ML modeling Contribute to manuscript preparation for peer-reviewed publications Support IRB submissions and regulatory documentation as needed Qualifications PhD or MD/PhD in a relevant field (Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Orthopaedics, or related discipline) Strong background in research writing, particularly grant writing Experience or strong interest in artificial intelligence / machine learning Familiarity with clinical research, healthcare data, or orthopaedics/spine preferred Proficiency in Python, data analysis, and ML frameworks (preferred but not required) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Preferred Experience Prior experience with NIH or major grant submissions Exposure to clinical datasets (EHR, imaging, outcomes data) Interest in predictive modeling, surgical outcomes research, or healthcare innovation What We Offer Flexible schedule (part-time or full-time options) Opportunity to work directly with a leading spine surgery practice Involvement in high-impact, innovative research projects Potential for publications, conference presentations, and long-term collaboration Competitive compensation based on experience How to Apply Please submit your CV along with a brief statement of interest outlining your experience with AI, research, and/or orthopaedics.
