AI Internship

Amsted Rail in Granite City, Illinois is seeking an AI Analyst Intern for Summer 2026. The start date is flexible between mid‑May and June 1, with the internship concluding no later than September 1.

Position Details:

As a part of our continuous innovation journey, we are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Artificial Intelligence Analyst Intern to join our team and contribute to the development and application of AI tools in manufacturing. The Artificial Intelligence Analyst Intern will have the unique opportunity to learn, test, and experiment with cutting-edge AI tools and technologies. The intern will work closely with our innovation team to explore how AI can add value to our manufacturing processes and overall operations. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong interest in artificial intelligence, process analysis, and data analysis, looking to gain hands-on experience in a real-world industrial setting.

Requirements:

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Basic understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analysis concepts. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or similar. Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., MATLAB, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work independently.
