Taylor University is seeking applications and nominations of distinguished candidates to teach in the Department of Mathematics. This isa tenure-track position beginning August 2027. Duties and Responsibilities Testify to personal experience of salvation in Jesus Christ, affirm belief in the University's Statement of Faith, abide byand practice our Life Together Covenant, and both personally agree with and support the Foundational Documents of TaylorUniversity. The appointee will teach a variety of foundational level mathematics courses as well as courses connected todepartmental programs in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, and Data Science. The candidate should be comfortable with creative pedagogywith an emphasis on group work and problem solving. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an activeprogram of research and scholarship, including faculty-mentored student scholarship. Participation in student advising, faculty governanceresponsibilities, membership in professional societies, and professional service is expected. Other duties as assigned. Typical Qualifications Candidates should have an earned doctorate in Applied Mathematics,Mathematics Education, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. ABD will be considered, as will a Master's, with the expectation that aDoctoral degree is earned before tenure is decided. Excellence in teaching is essential, including integration of faith into the classroom.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Mission and departmental fit are of primary importance. Preference will begiven to candidates with extensive face-to-face teaching. Preference for candidates for Mathematics Education will be given to those withexperience in K-12 education. Preference for candidates for Data Science will be given to those with experience in data analytics in aministry or industry.
