Citizen Responsibilities:
Develop and apply state-of-the-art artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) tools and algorithms to optimize DoD chemical and biological detection and identification systems. Work as part of a government scientific team developing and updating military sensors. Lead development of some efforts. Develop software applications in Python and apply machine learning techniques to improve the detection of chemical and biological materials. Develop, test, train, and maintain applications for developmental sensors. Develop and use tools to import, process, and store instrument and sensor datafiles for use in applications. Lead small development efforts and mentor junior developers. Support field testing, train users, and assess system performance. Remain current on related subjects in the literature and news. Assist with the preparation of reports, journal articles, and presentations.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, or a related discipline U.S. Citizen eligible for a DoD security clearance 3 to 9 years advanced proficiency with Python coding 3 years ML project experience including deep learning, NLP, and/or computer vision Advanced proficiency with TensorFlow or PyTorch Advanced proficiency in another object-oriented programming language (C++ or JavaScript) Advanced proficiency with databases Excellent oral and written communication skills in English Demonstrated ability to learn new skills quickly, multitask, and complete work within schedule.

Active DoD Security clearance Master's degree in data science or related discipline College chemistry or biology coursework Experience with bioinformatics and genetic algorithm development Job Requirements U.S. Citizen eligible for a DoD security clearance 3 to 9 years advanced proficiency with Python coding 3 years ML project experience including deep learning, NLP, and/or computer vision Advanced proficiency with TensorFlow or PyTorch Advanced proficiency in another object-oriented programming language (C++ or JavaScript) Advanced proficiency with databases Excellent oral and written communication skills in English Demonstrated ability to learn new skills quickly, multitask, and complete work within schedule.
