Job Description

Analytics Lead $140k
  • $180k
  • meaningful equity About Novig Novig is building America's #1 sports prediction market. Our mission is to financialize and democratize sports trading
  • taking a closed system run by casinos and turning it into a fair, efficient, two-sided market where the power sits with users.
With CFTC approval on the horizon, we're poised to go live across all 50 states as the leading sports-focused, federally regulated market built on trust, transparency, and real user protection. We're backed by some of Silicon Valley's top investors — Pantera, Forerunner, Lux, NFX, Paul Graham, and Joe Montana — who have collectively invested over $100M behind this vision. About the Role At Novig, data directly shapes the product — what we ship, what we measure, and the calls we make about what comes next. As an Analytics Lead, you'll partner with our Head of Analytics to build the foundation — strategically and tactically — shaping our analytics roadmap, bringing structure to open questions, and helping the team make sharper, faster decisions. You'll help define what analytics looks like at Novig long-term: working with Operations, Engineering, Marketing, Product, and Design to build the data models, pipelines, and dashboards our team runs on and surface the insights behind the decisions we make. Who you are and what you will do Drive strategy and action: Guide the team to interpret data and act on it. Write clear documentation, set the standards, and lead by example in driving evidence-based decisions. Build, don't just maintain: You take pride in designing clean, scalable systems from scratch, and you're excited to take end-to-end ownership — filling gaps, creating structure, and becoming the go-to person others rely on for clarity. Run a modern, AI-native stack: You write clean, performant SQL/dbt and are at home across the analytics stack. You think probabilistically — comfortable with experimentation, distributions, and the math behind sound analysis — and you use AI fluently in your data work.
Lead the analyses that matter:
Partner closely with stakeholders across the team to proactively identify and lead the analyses that answer strategic questions, uncover growth and efficiency levers, and shape team priorities and roadmaps.
Engineer the data foundation:
Partner with Engineering to design, validate, and optimize pipelines — ensuring our data infrastructure is accurate, scalable, and the trusted single source of truth.
Communicate complex ideas with clarity:
You distill deep analysis into crisp, actionable takeaways, whether writing a Notion doc or presenting to leadership, and you earn trust across cross-functional teams by speaking the language of both operations and engineering. Have 3-7 years on the job: You've shipped real work at an early-stage or fast-paced company where you owned analytics end-to-end. Why work here, in the words of the people who do "I work with extremely stellar people, I own real systems, and decisions happen fast. No politics, no waiting for needless red tape. If something's broken, I fix it. If I build something good, it ships." "The people! They're smart, thoughtful, fun to work with and passionate about their craft." "I'm having the most fun I've had in my entire career." If you want responsibility, trust, and the chance to help build the future of sports prediction markets
  • take your shot, we'd love to connect. Not for everyone Our work is tied to live sports
  • that means potential nights, weekends, and pressure included. If you need clear swim lanes, a heavy process, or someone to tell you what to do, this won't be the right environment. Compensation & benefits $140k
  • $180k base, benchmarked at top-tier tech companies Meaningful equity for every employee, regardless of role 100% health premiums covered 99% dental & vision covered 401(k) with 4% company match HSA + $1,080 annual company contribution $50/monthly company contribution to employee transit $27/day lunch stipend when working from our NYC office $35/day dinner stipend when working from the NYC office after 6:30pm Homebase Union Square, NYC In-person 4 days a week because we genuinely like being around each other.
