Job Description

Job Description A client of Insight Global is seeking a Data Scientist/Senior Data Scientist to support the development of new analytics products, predictive models, and proprietary algorithms that drive business decision-making. This individual will partner closely with data scientists, engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to analyze large datasets, develop machine learning solutions, and uncover actionable insights tied to significant business and financial outcomes. Responsibilities include building and enhancing forecasting, regression, and classification models, optimizing SQL queries, validating data quality, evaluating model performance, and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys solving complex problems from end to end, can work independently in an evolving environment, and is excited by the opportunity to influence high-impact business initiatives through data-driven decision making.   • 3+ years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, Machine Learning, or a related field
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL
  • Experience building and deploying machine learning models, including regression and classification models
  • Experience analyzing and working with large, complex datasets
  • Strong data validation, exploratory analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to optimize queries and work efficiently with large-scale data environments
  • Experience translating business problems into analytical solutions and communicating results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect analytical work to business outcomes and financial impact
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
  • Experience developing forecasting/time-series models
  • Healthcare, payer, PBM, pharmaceutical, claims, or healthcare financial analytics experience
  • Experience with PySpark, Databricks, Azure, GCP, or other cloud-based data platforms
  • Experience with XGBoost, scikit-learn, or similar machine learning frameworks
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools
  • Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience mentoring junior data scientists or leading projects independently Experience working on initiatives tied to cost optimization, profitability, forecasting, or financial planning
