Dell USA L.P. seeks a Consultant, Data Science at its Round Rock, TX facility to design,build and develop end-to-end machine learning solutions and products for Dells business and customers. Design and build scalable, efficient, and automated processes for large-scale data analysis, machine-learning model development, model validation and servings. Retrieve, analyze and process data, and build machine learning models. Conduct experiments to improve model performance. Participate in brainstorming sessions and guide junior data scientists. Liaise and collaborate with leading academics, industry experts, and highly skilled engineers to generate sophisticated new insights from big data. Develop new approaches to generate meaning and value from petabyte-scale data sets and shape new methodologies, tools, statistical methods, and models. Translate requirements and draft technical documents and concepts both verbally and in writing to scientists and non-scientists.
Requirements:
Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Studies, Operations Research, Telecommunication, Analytics, or related field plus three (3) years of experience in data science or related occupation. Alternatively, a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Studies, Operations Research, Telecommunication, Analytics, or related field plus five (5) years of experience in data science or related occupation.
Experience must include:
SQL; Python; Airflow; R/RStudio; Data Warehousing and ETL; Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Spark, or Hive); Cloud Environments (AWS or Azure); Classification and regression ML algorithms; and statistics, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
