Dell Products L.P. is seeking a Product Operations Principal Engineer at its Round Rock, Texas facility.
Duties:
Work with global manufacturing teams on new product launch activities to facilitate manufacturability of our server product lines (Core, Telco, and AI/ML). Create factory strategies and plans for Worldwide Operations based on product plans and roadmaps. Utilize metrics to improve new production, introduction process and product quality, at launch and throughout life of the program. Drive action plans and strategies to reduce overall manufacturing transformation cost. Drive quality improvements by risk assessment/mitigation eliminating sources of defects in the design, supplier, new product introduction and manufacturing processes. Drive continuous improvement in product manufacturability, flexibility, operations cycle time, and quality.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Business Operations or related field plus four (4) years of experience in operations, automation, industrial engineering, or a related occupation OR Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Business Operations or related field plus two (2) years of experience in operations, automation, industrial engineering, or a related occupation.
Experience must include:
utilizing artificial intelligence or machine learning to facilitate decision-making; working with Enterprise Class server products and peripherals; identifying, prioritizing and influencing requirements into manufacturable product designs; performing Root Cause Analysis and Six Sigma methodologies for development and troubleshooting; manufacturing processes; and assisting in the implementation and execution of programs and strategic initiatives.
