Oncology Data Specialist, Per Diem (CA Remote)

Responsible for all cancer-related data collection systems, for reportable cases. Ensures that all State of California and American College of Surgeons (ACoS) guidelines are met. Coordinates Cancer Conferences. Must have a thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology Familiarity with and knowledge of computers, i.e., CNExT, spreadsheet and word processing programs. A knowledge of general principles of statistical computation is mandatory.

Required Experience Required:

Must be a certified Oncology Data Specialist (ODS)/Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR)

Preferred:

Preferred completion of an approved Cancer Registry training program. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a hospital-based American College of Surgeons (ACoS) approved cancer program is preferred Proven track record with a successful ACoS approved program is preferred.
