Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Trauma Data Specialist is responsible for the collection, entry of data for the Level IV Trauma Center. Performs hospital-based coding and injury scaling and provides trauma-related data to the trauma service team. Reviews each trauma case through the continuum care within the hospital to identify cases, extract necessary information and report it for inclusion in the trauma registry database in an accurate and timely manner. Reports to the Trauma Program Coordinator.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum level of
Education :
Education level equivalent to completion of High School Diploma.
Formal Training :
Data entry experience. Medical terminology.
Licensure, Certifications & Registration :
Training required by State/contracts/ National Trauma Data Bank (NTDB).
Work Experience:
Basic computer skills. Excel/Reports/pivot tables.
